This Australia Day long weekend, Newcastle Racecourse will play host to a truly special event as Legends Race Day returns.

Taking place this Saturday 24th of January, this unique race day blends top-tier horse racing, iconic Australian sporting figures and laid-back summer celebrations, all in the vibrant atmosphere Newcastle Racecourse is famous for.

NEWFM Australia Day Long Weekend Legends Race Day is more than just a day at the races. It is an opportunity to honour outstanding Australian racing legends, athletes and contributors from our region who have excelled at the very highest level in their fields.

With free entry, no dress code and something for everyone, the day invites families, racing fans and sports lovers alike to come together for an unforgettable celebration.

Adding to the excitement, patrons can enjoy first-class racing action, be entertained by DJ Fuel playing hits from Aussie music greats and treat themselves to an Aussie BBQ from the Ascot Bar.

Be sure to arrive early to soak up the buzz created by a live on-air broadcast from the breakfast crew at NEWFM, Nicole and Joel.
