Race 1 – Pivotal Business Systems Class 1 & Maiden Plate 2350m

Rodrick’s Secret was unlucky when a strong finishing third over this trip on this track on April 15. He had been placed at Wellington and Canberra in his previous two starts.

Insider Trader has been placed at Bathurst and Hawkesbury recently and Dark Alibi is never far away.

Race 2 – Start At Bottlemart F&M Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

Trophies Galore has shown a glimpse of her best form in two recent Newcastle starts. She finished midfield at Newcastle last start, held up on the home turn and never clear. Two starts back she was unlucky when held up on the home turn.

Oksal is having her first start for her new trainer and is capable.

Kariba raced well this prep.

Race 3 – Banktech Cashconnect ATM Plus CG&E Maiden Plate 1200m

Osamu is thrown into the set weight race and will be a short- priced favourite. He finished fourth in a Group 2 and second in a Listed Race. Last start he was taken on and no surprise was nailed late at Newcastle. He has won $184,750 prizemoney.

Oakfield Navajo is trialling well and has raced well here.

Exterminate was narrowly beaten on this track last start.

Race 4 – XXXX Gold Maiden Handicap 900m

Vibrant puts the writing on the wall with a narrow defeat second up at Scone on April 20. In her only start at Newcastle in October the filly was beaten 1½ lengths in a strong field. This filly could be the best bet of the meeting.

Time For Peace has been placed in 7 of 12 starts and Cunning Kitty has trialled ok.

Race 5 – Red Funnel Maiden Handicap 1400m

Maramoti caught the eye with a fast finishing third at Newcastle on April 10. He unwound down the long straight and the longer trip is ideal.

Mr Bonds only two starts have been in New Zealand and he has been placed in both. He trialled nicely at Hawkesbury recently.

California Sky resumes after two solid trials.

Race 6 – Ausure F&M Maiden Plate 1200m

Alura is a talented filly resuming after a lovely trial win. She was beaten on debut two lengths by the smart Peltzer on debut at Kembla 12 months ago.  Before a spell she was runner up to the smart Ballistic Lover at Wyong.

Chocolate Kisses may lead and Oakfield Opal is on debut after an easy trial win.

Race 7 – DFK Crosbie Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap 1885m

Admit It steps up to this trip after a courageous second over the mile here last start. His Warwick Farm run two starts back was good enough and he may be ridden further back.

Deepwood Vale will appreciate the trip and Casino Mondial will be hard to run down.

Race 8 – Impact Building CG&E Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

Eighth Immortal was unlucky first up for Kris Lees at Port Macquarie. He has been placed in five of his ten starts and he will be fitter. He does race back on the field but the long straight will suit.

Garrison is trialling well and Riccardo went okay last start.
