Race 1 Sharp Electronics Group Benchmark 58 – 2125m

So You Merge has to carry 60 kilograms, but she is a class above these. She wasn’t far away when placed in a strong race on Gunnedah Cup Day two weeks back. She won’t be far off the lead from the soft draw.

In Bengal wasn’t far behind So You Merge at Gunnedah and he should fill a place and Stitched Up has sound form down south

Race 2 Top Cuts Food Benchmark 58 – 900m

Engadine resumes here after a nice trial. He was impressive in an easy Muswellbrook Maiden win in November. He has the rails barrier and has the speed to be in the firing line.

Bubbles Ball resumes and she has had a win and three placing from four starts. She has trialled well.

Princess Snowy in a fast race and the short course is ideal.

Race 3 Yarraman Park F&M Class 1  – 1150m

Jazette led all the way for an easy first up win at Taree recently.

She was runner up in a strong Newcastle Maiden in December and she wasn’t far away behind Reelem In Ruby and River Bird on debut at Canterbury in November.

Without Conviction improved second up and should finished in the placings.

Snip and Stare could fill a place.

Race 4 Cessnock Advertiser Maiden Plate 1350m

Brazenbrook was run down late first up at Tuncurry on May 18 and she should box seat here.

She is lightly raced and this is a winnable race. Punch the Clock has trialled okay and Lavish Rose wasn’t disgraced on debut.

Race 5 Hungerford Hill Wines Maiden Handicap –  900m

A strong country maiden with three chances She’s My Girl was placed first up at Wyong in a good quality maiden.

This is a huge drop in class, and she was only narrowly beaten in her only other start on this track in July.

Miraculous is second up and she had good form last prep when placed at Gosford and Scone. Zaniah is a New Zealand filly yet to race here but she looked good in a recent Wyong trial win.

Race 6 Coastline Pools & Spas Maiden Handicap 1150m

Commander Bell had his foot on the till last prep. He was placed at Gosford and Muswellbrook and his first up run at Wyong recently was full of merit.

He was only beaten a length in a much better field than this.

Diddly Dee is improving with racing and she could fill a place.

Barry’s Brother won a recent Muswellbrook Trial.

Race 7 Cessnock Leagues Club CG&E Class 1 Handicap 1150m

Exdream is first up on the back of two trials. In his first prep he won a race at Coffs Harbour and was placed at Newcastle and Port Macquarie.

He is an on pacer, well drawn and should win.

Supreme Streak hasn’t raced since he was placed at Sone in December and goes well fresh.

Shark Alley has a place chance.

Race 8 East Cessnock Bowling Club Class 3 Handicap 1570m

Chamisal is the best bet of the day. He is a former Victorian which has had three starts on the mid north coast for two wins and a second.

Robert Thompson has ridden him in all three starts and he will be aboard again.

Titus and Equilibrium have place prospects
