RACE 1 – SAGE PAINTING F&M BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1150m

Island Lass resumes here on the back of two trials. Last preparation she raced well on the Course Proper where the mare had a win and two placings in stronger fields than this. Promising North Coast apprentice Jasper Franklin rides and will claim 1.5kg.

Milingimbi has been runner up her past three starts and is the main threat.

Ideel Girl bolted in at Scone last start.

RACE 2 – COASTLINE POOLS COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1150m

Remlaps Commander will be favourite after a close second on debut in a much better race at Gosford recently. There was a rap on the winner and Remlaps Commander was only beaten a length.

Don’tcha Think has talent but is green – but does have plenty of speed.

Sh’bourne De Lago has a place chance.

RACE 3 – ALLIED PICKFORDS CG&E BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1150m

Trumpster was placed in a Provincial race on the Course Proper at Newcastle last start. He has had several placings this preparation and has a nice soft draw. He has been racing in better fields.

Boss was an easy Port Macquarie winner last start while Bonjour Rupert was an easy Armidale winner last start.

RACE 4 – SHARP OFFICE F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP 1350m

Star Mission has her foot on the till after a fast finishing fifth at Gosford first up. She drifted back to last at Gosford because of the wide draw and she made up many lengths.

Topender should run well, and likewise Camp Cove which has had three placings in a row in the west.

RACE 5 – AVID PROJECT MANAGEMENT CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP 1350m

Fudai should have finished closer when beaten six lengths at Hawkesbury last start. He only had one other run at Newcastle in April when a close second coming from well back. This is a nice race for the son of Shalaa.

Jumeirah Beach led all the way to win a recent Kensington trial and his race form is okay.

Blue Guitar finished fourth in a strong Newcastle field first up.

RACE 6 – YARRAMAN PARK COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1350m

Important Product is a big chance here despite the 62kg. After a close second from a long way back at Goulburn two starts ago, his last run at Gundagai was good. He drifted in betting from $3.20 to $4.80, was last away and made good ground late. Rory Hutchings replaces the 4kg claiming apprentice.

Seahaven is first up with a chance while Kinship has a chance.
