Gary Harley- Members Preview-25.01.20

Race 1 – Foteff Property Group Class 1 & Maiden Plate 2300m

Kentucky Tornado is knocking on the door with solid recent metropolitan form. She was two lengths from the winner at Rosehill three runs back then she was beaten 2 ½ lengths at Randwick two runs back on Boxing Day. The mare should have finished much closer to Warwick Farm on a soft track last start.

Miss Fialka is racing well with placings in her past four starts and she was narrowly beaten on this track two starts back. Duclair led most of the way to beat a mediocre field last start.

Selections:

3- Kentucky Tornado

4- Miss Fialka

2- Duclair

Race 2 – Mates Helping Mates Maiden Plate 900m

Covert Ops has promised much and delivered little in his short career but this a lovely race for the three-year-old fist up. He has been gelded during his spell and resumes after a nice trail. He was narrowly beaten at Randwick during the winter.

Front Money is on debut after a recent easy trial win.

Selections:

4- Covert Ops

10- Lavande

9- Front Money

Race 3 – Paul McKenzie Scaffolding 2YO Maiden Plate 1200m

Remorseless has a terrible barrier but clearly has the best form. The colt was placed behind Farnan in the Wyong Magic Millions first up and then was third behind the smart Philizzy on the Kensington track last start. He will be ridden back from the barrier, but he will love the long straight.

Prime Star has the blinkers after an eye catching second at Wyong last start. He will appreciate the longer trip.

Dance was beaten less than a length when third on debut at Gosford on January 10.

Selections:

8- Remorseless

7- Prime Star

2- Dance

Race 4 – Denstoj Auto Conditional Benchmark 70 Handicap 1400m

Outback Diva has a very good record of eight starts, two wins, four placings and two fourths. She has had two starts on this track for an easy win and a close second. She was bumped a couple of times when fourth at Warwick Farm last start.

Race 5 – Crosspoint Maiden Handicap 1200m

Anethole finished third 4 ½ lengths from stablemate Acumen in record time at Gosford on January 10. He was run off his legs at Gosford and this is a huge drop in class, and he wants 1200 and a long straight.

Antonio Padre is first up, and the colt had good metropolitan form last prep.

Monstrosity was runner up first up at Wyong recently and he has natural speed.

Selections:

3- Anethole

1- Antonio Padre

13- Monstrosity

Race 6 – LRV Constructions Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

Warfare found the 1000 meters too short around the tight Gosford track when he came from near last to go down by 1 ½ lengths at Gosford on January 10. He was placed in his only Newcastle start in May and he performed well in his only second up start. He needs a long straight to warm up.

Philanthropist was nosed out at Wyong first up and he will be fitter.

Battle Cry could run a place with the good draw and the claim.

Selections:

10- Warfare

15- Philanthropist

5- Battle Cry

Race 7 – Jim Velich Memorial Class 1 Handicap 1400m

Katalin has only had one start when she hit the line hard to win a Warwick Farm Maiden on January 8. The filly is crying out for the 1400 and should have a nice trail off the speed from the rail’s barrier.

Duneagle hit the line to win first up at Wyong recently and he will love the spacious track

Classic Gaming is racing well for his new trainers and has a chance

Selections:

8- Katalin

7- Duneagle
