Race 1- The A Team Ryan Chad Cherie Heather Class 1 & Maiden Plate 2300m

Prince of Arendell is in career best form and looks the winner with Mitchell Bell aboard. He raced on the speed when an easy Kembla winner on January 3, and was beaten a head their last start. He has run a strong 2000m and the longer trip should not be a problem.

Tina’s Rock won her first race in eighteen starts at Wyong last start and Opus got too far back last start.

Race 2 – Brian Sheeley Memorial Maiden Plate 900m

Nightcapped was a bit one paced when fifth first up at Wyong on January 18. In her only other start at Newcastle in May she was beaten .64 of a length after racing back in the field. She has drawn perfectly and will be fitter.

Apres Ski showed speed when down the track in her only start behind a smart horse on the Kensington track on January 17. The 900m is ideal.

Opal Fields hit the line when placed at Kembla in her only start in September and she has had a couple of trials.

Race 3- Porter Hire Provincial Class 1 Handicap 1500m

Sovereign Dane led all the way to win convincingly at Newcastle first up, and he has plenty of speed. He is lightly raced and draws okay in what is a winnable race.

Awesome Tycoon bolted in at Tuncurry on a heavy track recently and he was placed on debut two starts back at Taree. He should get a lovely run from the rail’s barrier.

Cosmic Lad made up many lengths when fourth at Canterbury on debut recently.

Race 4 – Ryan Ansell Investment Solutions Midway Maiden Handicap 1300m

Swift Sweet resumes after a ten-month spell but has talent. The mare finished third in the Group 3 Magic Night in March 2022, and she was placed in a hot Rosehill two-year-old Maiden in November 2021. She has had two recent trials, and on January 22 her trial indicated the mare is ready first up.

Hellbent On You powered home when placed at Kembla second up recently while Allebasi had good form last preparation and has blinkers for the first time.

Race 5 – Montgomery Homes Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap 1400m

General Soho has won seven races and should be at his top third up from a spell. He was held up at Wyong first up when he flashed home two days before Christmas. Last start he hit the line when fifth at Wyong. He has won at Newcastle and is crying out for the long straight. Bullock has the ride from a good barrier.

Star Impact has only 53.5 kgs and was run down late at Wyong last start. The mare has a good record at Newcastle.

Allhallowtide is first up but has very good form in the past.

Race 6- Container Traders Class 1 Handicap 1300m

The Hawkesbury is a blueblood and could not have been more impressive than she was when she bolted in at her only start at Kembla. She had a quiet trial at Randwick recently, closing off nicely and she will appreciate the spacious track.

Norton Road is very quick and she bolted in on debut at Wyong recently.

Blue As was very good winning at Muswellbrook on January 15.

Race 7- RAIS Super Super Maiden Handicap 1500m

Wymark has returned from a spell in good form and the rails barrier is gold in a strong race. He flew home when beaten a head, first up at Hawkesbury on December 10. Last start his run in a Magic Millions Maiden on the Gold Coast was outstanding. He was well back on the turn and finished fourth in a strong race.

Equipage has been placed in four of six starts and has a chance while Sunlord was placed first up on the Kensington track.

Race 8 – Girls Day Out – Women In Sport Benchmark 64 Handicap 900m

Perennial is first up and must overcome a wide barrier but is smart. The three-year-old is unbeaten in two starts at Muswellbrook and Scone during the winter. He has had two recent trials and is ready to go.

Custo is very quick and has won four from eight while Markwell Dreamer races well on this track.
