Gary Harley – Preview – 03.12.22

Race 1 – Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service 4YO & Up Maiden Handicap 1400m

Fudai has been runner up in his two Newcastle starts and he should break through. Second up on November 22, he came from near last in a big field when beaten half a length on this track.

The Wanderer has been racing well and Blueskin was narrowly beaten here in April.

Race 2- The Lizard Maiden Handicap 1600m

Zimtopia is ready to win after two creditable performances. The mare made up many lengths on debut over 1350 at Wyong on November 5. On November 4 she stepped up to 1600metres at Wyong and again made-up ground when beaten 1 ½ lengths into third place. She will be more comfortable on the spacious Newcastle track.

Jimmy Manolo has been placed in his past three starts and Grebeni has raced okay in both starts.

Race 3 – Hobson Engineering Sky Racing Summer Provincial Series Heat 5 class 5 Plate 1600m

Galaxy Bells recent from does not read well however she may have won last start only for bad luck. It was at Canterbury on the night of November 11 and after settling way back in the field the mare was making ground in a hurry along the inside rail before being badly hampered. It was a winnable race, and she has good form on her home track.

Lady Superspy has had no luck in her past two starts and Diva Bella has a chance.

Race 4 – All Metal Roofing Midway Class 1 Handicap 1300m

Oxford Vision has had ten starts for one win and seven placings. He has been a close second in his past two starts at Hawkesbury and Gosford. He has drawn soft, and Bullock has the mount.

Definitely Maybe won her only start on this track on October 29 and she is very consistent, and Oakfield Redgum was a runner up in a better field than this last start.

Race 5 – Commercial Collective 3YO Maiden Plate 900m

Hot Sundae in her second start led until late in the race before a narrow defeat by a smart stablemate on this track on November 27. She has drawn okay and is very quick.

Angel Fund is undefeated in three barrier trials and will be hard to beat and Clovelly was only beaten a length here last start.

Race 6 – Newsure Insurance Brokers Class 1 Handicap 900m

Enfolded resumes from a spell on the back of a very impressive trial win. Before a spell he won a Gosford Maiden in his third start. Will appreciate the firmer surface.

Zalini bolted in with a recent trial at Gosford and her only win was on this track.

Nomara has only had two starts for a nose defeat on this track and an easy Kembla win.

Race 7 – Quarry Mining & Construction Equipment Maiden Plate 1200m

Doubtless Lady’s only start was on this track on November 15 when she stormed home to go down by a length. She should have a nice trail from barrier 2 and is very strong at the end of 1200m.

Treasurers second up run at Gosford was an eye catcher coming from near last to fail by 1.3 lengths.

Mad Darcey was runner up twice before a spell.

Race 8- Rescue Helicopter Saves Lives Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap 1200m

Zaru had been in good form in Rosehill Highways in recent starts. On August 13 he won a 1300 metre Highway, and he has been narrowly beaten in 1400 metre Highways since.

Major Murphy is racing well and has won here while Cabsav has good Northern Rivers form.
