Race 1- Aaron Walter Century 21 Edgeworth Maiden Plate 1400

The unraced Sinba has trialled nicely and the way he finished off from last in a recent Rosehill trial, the 1400 is ideal. The long straight will suit him and he has drawn well.

Papadum was only beaten a length on debut at Kembla two weeks back.

Black Queen has had two starts for placings at Hastings (NZ) and Warwick Farm.

Race 2 – Radford Shopfitters Benchmark 64 Handicap 900m

Belle O’Ballee has genuine speed and she was too good for a Maiden field on this track on April 22. She has had a win and two placings from her four starts and she only carries 55 kilograms.

Pacific Ocean is very quick and he out-sped his rivals to win first up at Gosford recently.

Theo Legion resumes after a successful last prep.

Race 3- Newcastle Skin Check Maiden Handicap 1250m

Orbital Express is a blue blood with talent however she hasn’t a lot of speed. The filly made up many lengths in a Scone trial in March then she produced an eye catching performance on debut at Scone. She came from last to finish third 1 ½ lengths from the winner.

Love Is In The Air went okay when 2 lengths away on debut at Kembla recently and Tangier was narrowly beaten under no pressure in a recent trial.

Race 4 – Newcastle Financial Planning Group CG&E Maiden Handicap 1250m

Explosive Truth is a fast horse which has been runner up in 4 of 7 starts. He led in his last five starts and he has finished close up in most of them. He could be hard to run down.

Urban Warrior was three wide, no cover, when beaten half a length at Canberra recently.

Phonemic is speedy and his Kembla form is okay.

Race 5 – Hart Accountants Benchmark 64 Handicap 1850m

Vigorous Flow was tough leading all the way to win easily at Gosford on Anzac Day. First up he finished strong when placed in a strong field at Newcastle on April 10. It is his first attempt at this trip but it looks like he will run the trip.

Jeronimos races well on this track and he will be running on.

Kobestar last run at the Kensington track was good enough.

Race 6- Varley Maiden Plate 1600m

Captivare has been placed in five of eight starts. He has been placed in all three starts this prep and last start he was only beaten a head over 1600 at Kembla. He should have a lovely sit from his soft draw.

Stablemate Tuscan Gaze races well on this track and he has a good chance and Manoeuvre just missed last start at Kembla.

Race 7- Shedboss Hunter Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap 1400m

Chalmers didn’t mind a soft track and from eight Newcastle starts his record is 2 wins and 3 placings form 8 starts. He has a 3 kilogram claim and races well second up.

Favra is a track specialist and will be storming home.

Calgary King led all the way to win at Kembla recently.

Race 8- John Whitmore memorial Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200

Siesta Key showed a glimpse of form when placed second up here recently. She normally races well here and has a soft draw. She likes wet tracks.

Café Royal is classy and has trialled well.

Tawfiq Lass has a good record and loves wet tracks.
