Gary Harley – Preview – 11.10.22

 

Race 1 – KLOSTER MOTOR GROUP 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP (900m)

Laroupe is very quick and draws close with Dylan Gibbons aboard. Her only two starts were in the Autumn in feature races, where she was run down late in the Miss Finland at Muswellbrook in April.

Shadow Vampire is a strong finisher and Pennypacker finished off well in a recent trial.

Race 2 – SHARP OFFICE 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP (900m)

Tragara has speed to burn, the rails barrier and Tommy Berry is a positive. She led until well into the straight when placed here on September 17. She was only beaten a length on the Kensington track before a spell in June.

Asteria had no luck when a close third at Hawkesbury first up and Capital Theatre led in a recent trial.

Race 3 – NEW ZEALAND BLOODSTOCK PROVINCIAL MAIDEN HANDICAP (1600m)

Gripping finished strongly when placed in his second start at Hawkesbury on September 29. This is not a strong field, and he will unwind down the long straight.

Tamar is bred to stay, and he steps up to a suitable trip.

World Atlas wasn’t far away last start.

Race 4 – AUSTRALIAN BLOODSTOCK F&M CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1300m)

Viennoiserie is talented and after two runs this preparation is ready to explode. She made up good ground on a Heavy 10 second up. The longer trip suits and she is on her home track.

Stablemate Razeta had good form in the winter and is fitter this time.

Rockbarton Ruby has a win and three placings from her past five starts.

Race 5 – HORSEPOWER CG&E CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1300m)

Mediaro has been beaten a nose and a head in his only two starts on this track. He was beaten five lengths in a Listed race at Caulfield in April and he hasn’t raced since. However, he has had two quiet trials recently.

Sir Kerm was impressive in a debut win recently and Czar has good form.

Race 6 – LEES RACING 4YO & UP MAIDEN PLATE (1300m)

Import Better Not Bitter was well fancied in his Australian debut on this track when he finished third recently. He has only had two race starts and that Newcastle field last start was much stronger.

Floating stormed home when narrowly beaten last start and Classic Deel is in a new stable.

Race 7 – ALLIED MOVING SERVICES MIDWAY BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (1500m)

Concocted has talent and Tommy Berry rides for the first time. He hasn’t been far away in his last two starts at Rosehill. The rails barrier is a big plus.

Perfect Thought is smart, and he is a big player.

Annulus is a model of consistency and should run well.

Race 8 – HELLBENT@ YARRAMAN PARK BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1880m)

So Dazzling is a promising stayer and is equal favourite for the VRC Oaks. She put up an outstanding performance to win at Flemington in her second race start recently.

Bunker Hut has a good record and is a threat while Sky Ace is the likely leader.
