Calm Down is ready to win after placings in her only two starts this preparation. Both runs have been on wet tracks and she was half a length from the winner last start at Wyong.

Ausbred Bluebird will be fitter second up and Cupid’s Kiss is knocking on the door.

Selections:    5- Calm Down        3- Ausbred Bluebird          6- Cupid’s Kiss

Race 2 – Varley Group Benchmark 68 Handicap 1500m

Contributingfactor can improve on what is expected to be a better track than the heavy tracks he has been racing on. Two of his three wins have been at Newcastle where he was only beaten two lengths in the Provincial Midway Wild Card.

Different Strokes was three wide with no cover when runner up at Warwick Farm and will be hard to beat.

Rock The Bells resumes after a Canterbury win in February.

Selections:    3- Contributingfactor        1- Different Strokes            4- Rock The Bells

Race 3 – Newcastle Skin Check CG&E Maiden Handicap 1200m

Airraid has only had the one start at Wyong on April 14 and the performance was an eye catcher. He drifted back on the heavy track, and he stormed home to miss by half a length. He will appreciate the roomier track.

Easily Offended was narrowly beaten on debut at Gosford and Huon was placed on the Kensington track on Anzac Day.

Selections:    1- Airraid       2- Easily Offended             3- Huon

Race 4- Aaron Walter Century 21 Edgeworth F&M Maiden Handicap 1200m

Carartie deserves a change of luck after six placings from nine starts. She has been placed twice at Canterbury and on the Kensington track. The 3kg claim is a positive and she has been placed in both starts on wet tracks.

Capital Elle has trialled nicely and Newly Wed has been placed at Sandown.

Selections:    1- Carartie    13- Capital Elle       3- Newly Wed

Race 5- My Money Sorted Benchmark 64 Handicap 900m

One Penny is very quick and has good country form. She won easily in an inferior race at Gunnedah last start and from barrier one with the 3kg claim the filly will give them something to chase.

Sachello has won two from four and is also very speedy. She was a winner here in October.

Zakor has sound short course form.

Selections:    5- One Penny          4- Sachello               8- Zakor

Race 6- Shed Boss Benchmark 64 Handicap 1870m

Anythink Goes is a front running stayer with outstanding recent form. The colt won a Gosford Class 1 by more than 5 lengths last start on Anzac Day on a heavy track. He has placed twice at Newcastle.

Velvet Lady won two on the trot in the Autumn and is a strong stayer.

Rosie Impact will appreciate this trip.

Selections:    1- Anythink Goes   5- Velvet Lady        8- Rosie Impact

Race 7- The Mighty Hunter Valley Maiden Plate 1400m

Adair was placed on this track on debut in October. He was not extended to win a recent trial and he normally races on the pace. He has to overcome a wide draw but this is a winnable race for him.

Ausbred Yahoo was runner up on a heavy track on the Gold Coast on debut on April 16.

Citric was placed at Warwick Farm first up.

Selections:    1- Adair         8- Ausbred Yahoo            2- Citric

Race 8- Quarry Mining Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

Xpresso blitzed a Gosford Maiden field on Anzac Day in his first start for Nathan Doyle. He led all the way and won by more than three lengths, and he has the rails barrier here.

Stablemate Spring Break has solid Victorian form and trialled nicely.

Daichi was runner up at Kembla last start.

Selections:    5- Xpresso     2- Spring Break        6- Daichi

Race 9 – John Whitmore Memorial Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

Revivalist is a winner at his only start on this track in July. He was beaten a long way by Malkovich in a recent trial, but you can discard that form. He was narrowly beaten at Randwick on a heavy track last July.

The Denzel could be hard to run down while Hit The Target is capable of winning.

Selections:    2- Revivalist             5- The Denzel          1- Hit The Target
