Race 1, Twin Lakes Air Pty Ltd Maiden Plate, 900m: 

Selhurst Park ($2.40 fav) has been placed in five of his six starts on wet tracks and he is a speedy gelding. He was beaten three quarters of a length first-up at Hawkesbury on February 8 and last start at Canterbury he was a close third after leading. Song Writer ($6) is on debut after a nice trial and Adelinda ($3.40) has her foot on the till.

Race 2, Lakes Podiatry 2yo Maiden Plate, 1200m: 

Shamrock ($4.40) was never on the track on debut when placed on a heavy track at Gosford on March 12. She had won two trials prior to her debut run and she has barrier one. Perpignan ($4.20 fav) raced well in strong two-year-old events earlier in the year and Nobel ($5.50) finished four lengths behind Sejardan in the Golden Gift.

Race 3, Panasales Pty Ltd Maiden Plate, 1600m

Tiempe Passate ($3.80 fav) has been placed in three of her four starts and has drawn barrier one. She hasn’t been far away in all three of those starts and she has been placed on wet tracks. The filly normally goes back but from the favourable barrier she may race closer. We’ve Got Tonight ($4.40) was held up last starts and Afewchoicewords ($7) hasn’t been far away.

Race 4, Vietnam Veterans Keith Payne Vc Class 1 & Maiden Plate, 2300m

Monfelicity ($3.80) is in career best form and from a favourable barrier may lead. She led all the way to win on the Beaumont Track on January 31 before a close second on the Newcastle course proper on February 12. Last start the filly was beaten a head over 2300m on the Newcastle track. Galifianakis ($5.50) has been narrowly beaten in his two starts at Newcastle in February. Sea Treasures ($2.90 fav) stormed home when placed at Goulburn last start.

Race 5, Karen Ansen Consulting Maiden, 1350m

Mojo Classic ($3.20 fav) is first-up after a nice quiet trial behind Imaging at Warwick Farm. He was beaten a nose on debut at Newcastle in October before a close fifth when an odds-on favourite at Canterbury in November. The Canterbury run was on a heavy track. Stablemate Norman ($4.20) has been trialling well and By Nine ($5) was runner-up at Hawkesbury on debut.

Race 6, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioners Australia Class 1, 1350m

Jimmy’s Dream ($3.20 fav) deserves victory after a win and nine placing from 10 starts. His only win was on a heavy track and his first-up run on a heavy track at Gosford recently was encouraging. The blinkers go on for the first time. Ghostwriter ($4.40) was only beaten 2½ lengths in the 2020 Golden Gift and is first-up. Kopangi ($9.50) has a place chance.

Race 7, Halekulani Bowling Club Bm68, 1200m

Pleading ($3.90) is a talented mare resuming from a long spell. The mare has had two recent trials and has a 2kg allowance. Stormborn ($3.80 fav) is racing well with a recent Warwick Farm win and Land Of Valens ($9.50) has a chance.

Race 8, Polytrack Provincial-Midway Qualifier, 1350m: 

French Bonnet ($7.50) is a classy mare with four wins from 10 starts. She has won two recent trials by more than five lengths and can race on the speed if desired. Grande Rumore ($5 fav) had outstanding Newcastle form before a spell. Zorocat ($11) is very quick and could be difficult to run down.
