Gary Harley – Preview 27.02.20

Race 1- Sydney Junction Hotel 3YO Maiden Handicap 1150m

Atherton has won his last five barrier trials over three preparations but has been disappointing on raceday. He has speed and this is his race.

Static is on debut and her trials are okay.

Destiny’s Son is trialling well.

Selections:

2- Atherton

4- Static

1 – Destinys Son

Race 2- Simtrack 2YO Maiden Plate

Adversity is a very promising colt and he has blinkers on for the first time. He didn’t handle the heavy track last start, but his debut run at Newcastle was super. Barrier one and Tommy Berry ticks all the boxes.

Thermosphere was narrowly beaten at Canterbury last start and Much Much Better has a place chance.

Selections:

2- Adversity

9 – Thermosphere

5 – Much Much Better

Race 3- Hungerford Hill Metro & Prov Maiden Plate 1350m

Favra came from last when narrowly beaten at Warrick Farm last start. The longer trip is ideal with Avdulla aboard – he will be a short price but looks a good thing.

Gogol was narrowly beaten a length at Warrick Farm and Newcastle in his last two starts and he will run well.

Chanting had no luck on course proper here in December.

Selections:

5- Favra

6- Gogol

9- Chanting

Race 4- New Zealand Bloodstock F&M Class 1 Handicap 1350m

Lady Tavista was impressive in an easy win on the course proper here three weeks ago. She will appreciate the longer trip and is the one to beat.

Buba had no luck last start.

Selections:

2- Lady Tavista

5 – Candy Bar

3 – Buba

Race 5- Starr Facilities Services Maiden Handicap 1250m

Menagerie resumes here on the back of solid trial form. She has been placed in all four starts and she races on the speed.

Kirwan’s Lane has never been far away and resumes after two trials.

Caudan was placed at Newcastle last start and has a chance

Selections:

4- Menagerie

5 – Kirwan’s Lane

7 – Caudan

Race 6- Australian Bloodstock CG&E Class 1 Handicap 1350m

Reiby’s Regent drops sharply in class after a respectable run in the Group 3 Southern Cross. He was runner up to a smart one at Wyong two starts back.

Canzonet is racing well and has a nice claim.

Monstrosity is a front runner and a last start winner.

Selections:

2- Reiby’s Regent

1 – Canzonet

5 – Monstrosity

Race 7- Yarraman Park Benchmark 70 Handicap 2200m

Etheridge outstayed her rivals to win well at Warrick Farm last start. She should have a nice trail from the rails barrier and looks too good for these.

Knights Star is a solid stayer and has won at Newcastle and Scone recently.

Joes Joy is racing well and has a chance

Selections:

5 – Etheridge

3- Knights Star

8- Joes Joy

Race 8- Sharp Electronics Group Class 2 Handicap 1150m

The unbeaten Mirra Vision resumes here after a trial win. She won on debut at Newcastle in September before a solid win at Warrick Farm.

Capri Lane is unbeaten and resumes

Selections

4- Mirra Vision

1 – Texas Forever

5- Capri Lane
