Race 1- Reward Hospitality 2YO Maiden Handicap – 900m

Most of the field are on debut and there are a number of good triallists. Heavenly Field led in a recent Rosehill trial and was narrowly beaten by a horse that went very well at Gosford on Saturday.

Harley Street led by a big space when he won a recent Randwick trial and Snowdrop was runner up in the Max Lees Classic.

Race 2 – Rarity Wholesale Maiden Handicap 1200m

Splendiferous is first up and has been trialling well. The filly bolted in with a recent Randwick trial when she led all the way. She has drawn well and Tim Clark rides.

Kurlansky was placed in his only start at Newcastle in late February and he has the rails barrier.

Loveland should have finished closer last start.

Race 3 – Jennings Print Maiden Plate 1850m

Ossabuco was stiff when narrowly beaten second up at Hawkesbury recently. He was held up on the turn then kept coming when clear. He came from well back when beaten three lengths in a good race on this track first up.

Credit Crunch came from a long way back when beaten a long head at Kembla last start.

Under Orders placed in the country last start – could fill a place.

Race 4- Coastline Pools & Spas Benchmark 64 Handicap 1850m

Ladylovestogamble was very impressive in leading all the way over 1900m at Gosford last start. She was narrowly beaten by a smart one at Mudgee two starts back.

Duais has a win and two seconds from his past four starts, and he trialled well recently.

Legend Has It bolted in at Newcastle last start.

Race 5- Minder Cloud Services F&M Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

I Say Hello has had two Newcastle starts for a win and a nose second. In March 2020 she led all the way to win on this track. Her only other start was 11 months later when she was beaten a nose here on March 5. She trialled nicely last Thursday, and she is Hugh Bowmans’ only mount.

Salateen won well at Gosford first up then disappointed, but is sure to improve here.

Zorocat is very fast and can fill a place.

Race 6- Avid PM CG&E Benchmark 64 Handicap 1200m

Rustic Steel led all the way to win a Randwick Maiden in November. He had no luck when beaten two lengths at Kembla first up on March 2. He won a Newcastle trial by 3 lengths last Thursday.

Armatree won a Kensington 2 year old in June and he won a recent Randwick trial.

O’Mudgee won well at Gosford first up.

Race 7- Macka’s sand & Soil Benchmark 68 Handicap 1400m

Eleusa has had four starts for two wins and two seconds. She won on debut at Newcastle in October and was runner up in a strong race on this track first up a month ago.

Favra races very well at Newcastle and is a strong finisher.

So Far Away was unlucky on this track last start.
